PROJECT OVERVIEW

This new data centre is designed to modernize the government’s IT network while increasing security. The new data centre will incorporate energy-efficient power and cooling systems, allowing it to qualify as a silver-standard green building under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards. The Enterprise Data Centre Expansion Project is divided into four (4) phases with respective requirements for Critical Power Load associated with White Spaces. This project consists of the construction of a new Tier 3 data centre with 40,000 SF of white tile space and 5MW of critical load capacity to support it. The total value of the electrical work exceeded $20,000,000. Our scope of work included all low voltage equipment installation, security, lighting, BAS controls, fire alarm systems and data cabinet installation. Assisted and lead all commissioning activities.

SCOPE OF WORK

As Electrical Contractor, MultiTech was responsible for installing all electrical equipment downstream from the high voltage load-break switches including transformers, all switchgear and six standby generators. In addition, we were responsible for all BAS controls, fire alarm systems and data cabinet installs.
