PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Dupont Fabros Toronto Data Centre was created in 2016 when the REIT specializing in carrier neutral data centres purchased the premises of the Toronto Star printing facility, as their first entry into the Canadian data centre market. The first phase consists of 23 computer rooms and 24MW of power targeted at companies that provide cloud and other internet services at a global scale. The company merged with Digital Realty in September 2017.

SCOPE OF WORK

This job involved a detailed civil infrastructure consisting of communication duct banks (concrete encased and steel reinforced) and manholes, underground duct banks, conduit, grounding rods, grounding wells and hand wells and HV power duct banks. On the electrical side we completed all transformer and switchgear foundations as well as electrical work involving extensive cabling and terminations and pre-service on the transformer, the supply and installation of the exterior grounding system and the supply of temporary power to the Pump house.
